CLARISSA CHEUNG

I am a photographer based in Toronto, Canada. My background in urban design and geography informs much of my work. I am intrigued by the connection that people have with their environments—how people shape the spaces in which they occupy, and how places in turn influence the people that dwell within. My projects are an exploration of the built and natural environment.

I hold a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo’s Honours Co-operative Planning Program, with a Specialization in Urban Design and a Minor in Geography and Environmental Management. I am currently completing a Master of Theological Studies at Wycliffe College, University of Toronto, with a special focus on Community Development. These studies have inspired fresh perspectives for placemaking and community, allowing me to think about what brings meaning to place in a more holistic way.
